Friday, August 28th, the Chagrin Valley Hunt became proud guardians of four new foxhound puppies, donated to the pack by Ann Kretschmaier. Ann raises foxhounds to show and she had used our doghound Judge (CVH Worldly ’01 and Ann's Dog Justin’00) to breed to her “Wee Beginnings Abbey” last spring. Abbey brought 11 puppies into the world on June 30th and Ann was happy to share some of the litter. Abbey was sired by Amwell Valley Happy and the dam was Brocklesby Legacy, both fine hunting packs.
The four doghound puppies are tricolor and beautifully humanized. They are very friendly and are very interested in the four “GR” puppies living next door who are 9 month old at this time. We named these puppies at the Blessing and their names begin with JU, the first 2 letters of their father, Judge. They are now called:
Jupiter - named by Carol Donaldson
Jukebox - named by ex-MFH Shirley Morgan
Julius - named by Katherine Merkel
Juggernaut - named by Tom Barrat & Kim McConnell
